A skilled assassin plans his final job to pay for eye surgery for a woman accidentally blinded during one of his hits. When he's betrayed by his employers, he teams up with a determined cop to settle accounts.
Cindy says
Woo's operational masterpiece—balletic violence meets genuine pathos. Chow Yun-Fat embodies the conflicted hitman with real depth, and the action sequences are so elegantly choreographed they feel almost meditative. A film that proves style and substance aren't mutually exclusive.
