Godzilla Minus Zero

Cindy says

Yamazaki doubles down on what made Minus One devastatingly effective—intimate human drama wrapped around kaiju destruction—but the formula starts to strain under its own weight. The film's commitment to character-driven storytelling is admirable, yet it occasionally sacrifices momentum for contemplation, leaving stretches that feel more like epilogue than climax. Still, it's crafted with meticulous care and emotional intelligence that most blockbusters wouldn't dare attempt.
