Drama · 93min · EN
Two young brothers reconnect with their estranged father in Lagos during Nigeria's 1993 election crisis. As political turmoil engulfs the city, their journey home becomes a quest to understand the man they barely know and the forces shaping his life.
Cindy says
Davies Jr. crafts a tender, politically aware coming-of-age story that uses 1993 Lagos as both backdrop and character. The performances feel lived-in, the direction patient and observant—it's a film that trusts you to feel the weight of small moments alongside historical rupture. A genuinely moving meditation on fatherhood, displacement, and childhood's collisions with reality.
