A Manhattan club promoter's hedonistic existence derails when his estranged 10-year-old son unexpectedly enters his life. Forced to navigate fatherhood amid the nightlife scene, he confronts the gap between his carefree persona and adult responsibilities.
Cindy says
Firstman mines genuine comedy and unexpected heart from a premise that could've been a mess. The supporting cast elevates what could be a one-note redemption arc, though the runtime occasionally feels bloated. A solid crowd-pleaser that actually earns its sentimentality.
